Hi everyone! Today we are releasing information about a new site exclusive to our locals members.

The AmmoSeek Lab is a site where we are running a pre-release copy of the production AmmoSeek website. It has all the latest features and functionality that will eventually make its way to the production/main AmmoSeek site.

Since it is pre-release code it will contain bugs. Maybe lots of them. It may not function properly at certain times; but, we'd like to give you the opportunity to try it out ahead of everyone else.

If you run into any bugs or problems, please let us know via the contact page on the site or in the comments here.

The AmmoSeek Lab is available now for you to kick the tires. Accessing it requires a special login/password, provided exclusively to our locals community below. We will periodically change the access password and when we do we'll provide it to the community here.

Please note that these special credentials are used to let you through the "gateway" to access the lab and are different than your own individual AmmoSeek user account credentials.

If you already have an existing AmmoSeek account you can/should use it to sign in once you are authenticated with the "gateway" credentials below.

Registering for an account in the lab will register your account for our production site as the same database is used for both. Likewise, if you attempt to register in the lab and you already have an AmmoSeek account you'll get an error that your account already exists.

Here are some of the new features with this, our first, AmmoSeek Lab release:

1 - Bottom of the screen menu/navigation on mobile devices. Our goal is to make the site behave more like a mobile app. This is a big step in that direction.

2 - Redesigned search forms. They are more performant and (hopefully) simpler to navigate.

3 - The results page modify search form sidebar is now open by default on wider browser widths. It can be toggled open or closed and the results are resized to fit the window rather than being obscured by the sidebar like on our current production site.

4 - On mobile the modify search forms slide up from the new bottom navigation menu and are larger allowing for more simpler search parameter modifications on mobile devices.

This was a large rewrite of some of the most fundamental components of AmmoSeek so there are likely plenty of bugs to be found.
